To get a jump on winter testing, we headed to the local hockey rink to experience the glare ice traction of the newest Studless Ice & Snow tires for winter. This year’s matchup featured the new Bridgestone Blizzak WS80 and Yokohama iceGUARD iG52c vs. the established performance of the Dunlop Winter Maxx and Michelin X-Ice Xi3.
Which tire should you be driving on this winter?

What about Continental Extreme Winter Contact, why they removed from the list?
Was there ever a follow up on snow performance?
We buy tires before winter not during !
I love blizzak in our crv , and for our camaro we use Pirelli zero it drive like a pro.
How about all-weather tires like the Nokian WRG3, Toyo Celsius, and Vredestein Quatrac 5? There’s also the Canada-only Hankook Optimo 4S. Even though you don’t sell them, it would still be nice to see just how they fare against standard winter tires.
And why don’t you carry Hankook and Kumho’s winter tires? Since the Tire Rack started carrying Toyo now, you should consider offering the Celsius all-weather.
You should do a mega comparison between studded, studless, performance winter, all-weather, all-season, and performance all-season!
Would the local ice hockey rink be the Ice Box on Walnut?
I put the Bridgestone Blizzak WS80 on a 2005 Accord EX. Best $500 bucks I ever spent. Now, my ole’ truck can rest unless the snow is crazy deep, 8″ + drifts.
Simply OUTSTANDING tires. Awesome in Michigan…See ya.
I love how Tire rack puts the effort into thoroughly and scientifically testing these tires. Really keeps the consumer informed.
Why are you trying to drown out your presenter with annoying background noise?
