How many miles did you get with the duratracs?

Appreciate the review. I’ve been considering dedicated snow tires for my older Cherokee (2nd car). Obviously only putting them on in the winter. Cheers.

You really should go back to a studded tire. I’ve run these tires on 3 different cars now. And they’ve been the best tired I’ve EVER used on hard pack, ice and deep snow. But then again, I don’t get in and put the accelerator to the floor and expect them to grip. I would recommend going back to ta studded tire if you want to drive like that.

WOW.. i didnt expect to see that! I know alot of plow contractors that swear by them. The one thing im left wondering is, how much pressure were you running in them? I broke down this year and bought a set of E rated Mastercraft MSR’s for plowing. The W965’s were right up there on the top of my list too, im glad i didn’t go that route. Whats very odd is, and you may have seen this online too, there was a winter tire shootout done by “hard working trucks . com” using super scientific measuments, protocols, sensors, data, controls, etc. They used something lime 5 different winter brands and the W965 came out on top. Unfortunately, Cooper/MasterCraft were not part of the test. Regardless, I was blown away at the capabilities of my Non- Studded Mastercraft MSR’s, i was able to plow in 2wd with just a little ballast in the rear to counter my 1100lb plow up front. Let me know what you were running for pressure, as i know if i go too high, say 70psi + and i dont have enough weight to counter, the performance of mine goes downhill.

Side note – Cooper came out with the A/T-W, which looks very similar to the M&S. I may try this next year just for kicks as i think there was a certain size made in it I couldnt get in the MSR or M&S. The A/T-W is reviewed pretty good so far in the snow.

These were on an FJ I just bought, not liking them at all. But you cant compare studless to studded. Hey, whats the best Wifi front door lock out there today?
