The Avon AV72 Cobra Tires are designed for heavier bikes that log lots of miles. From the tapered grooves that maximizes the contact patch, to the high-end stability over time, the AV72 Cobra Tires have been designed from the bottom up to work well for touring motorcycles and long-range riders. Additional features of the Avon AV72 Cobra Rear Tires include an ultra-quiet pattern, extra-wide sizing for custom bikes, and the option for Whitewalls on a handful of sizes.

I just run 800 miles on the cobra tire, on my Harley Electra glide and it the worst I ever tried, it very soft, and make the bike very unstable, tried to put more pressure in, but that didn’t help at all. Vent straight back to Harley’s original tire, and the bike is back to behaving normal.
I have these on my 1999 GL1500CT Valkyrie Tour, I have put a few 100 miles on them so far, and I like the handling of these tires, compared to the Metzler ME880s that came off of the bike!
just put them on my 07 fat boy, love them
been running on cobras on my 09rocker…so far it as beat dunflops…an metz, in milage..the 240 cobra as been replaced at 23thou km..an i do some serious cruising..cool channel folks..
I bought these last week from revzilla. Put them on my ultralimited. I’ve put 650 miles on them so far I’m happy.
Are the Cobras on the tire chicken strip indicators LOL?
I put these on my Victory Vegas. Ride feels good and have experienced great grip in dry and wet weather. However, bike immediately developed a “weave” that starts around 80 mph. Hoping I can work it out, but definitely concerning.
I have usually ran metzeler ME 880 xl tire on the rear and the metzeler ME 880 on the front.. I am considering trying the Av71 & AV72 Avon Cobra tires. I always had good lick with the metzeler tires but just want to try something different for the sake of performance. I ride my softail hard, extremely hard! I routinely pass and run away from crotch rockets on the usual in the twisties and curves. Tires do not last me as long as they should because I ride very, very, hard, but I’m hoping these tires will exceed my expectations as far as wear & performance. Does anyone have an idea if they will outperform my old Metzelers. Does anyone have an idea or does anyone have a suggestion for a tire that I should run with my hard & extremely fast riding. I am open to suggestions for a extreme high performance tire…. Thanks
what is white wall…?
I run cobra tyres on my cruiser and they have never failed me always delivered exactly what I needed when I needed it
