Sam Gaming says:

Helpful; but, it has to be emphasised to those using a pump for the first time: lock the lever thingy in the direction away from the valve.

isaac B says:

Is it tyre or tire

Naveen Kumar says:

Busybee says:

I feel so ridiculous not knowing how to put air in my tires! This video makes it look so simple however I don’t have this type of pump, I have a manual screw on type. The issue I am having is that everytime I unscrew it, all the air comes out! Any suggestions? The clip on attachments don’t fit.

Stone Cold says:

I can’t get my pump to lock on the valve. I have a Schrader.

Ivan Lesmana says:

Hi there. Want to ask about filling a bicycle tire with nitrogen is that possible?? And how about the tire pressure if fill with nitrogen? Thanks

Ryan Mafnas says:

THANK YOU!

Joe Hoe says:

When I fill my tires, I almost always have to let most of the air out, in order for the pump to attach correctly.  Otherwise, the pump is jammed, and I can’t fill the tires properly.  That is with a presta valve, of course.  Schraeder valves have never been a problem.

Victor Deathridaz says:

The troubleshooting at the end made the video a home run. I’m getting into cycling coming from MOTORCYCLES. So am I better than all you cyclists? Get a grip we all start somewhere, thanks for the vid!

sn00ch says:

For those of us that speak American, is that a “presto”, “presta” or “Preston” valve?
Thanks Gene!

Aaron Corbin says:

Thank you so much for this video!

Dara Adesina says:

I’m just sitting here watching all bike experts argue about this and that but I don’t even understand a single thing

Deng Deng says:

When I pump my bike and I release the pump air comes out

TheWheelofLife100 says:

Being overweight and having a mountain bike, when I ride the bike, my weight makes the tyres go flat-tish, well it may be good for me to exercise and to a lesser extent have tough guys in cars driving by, inspiring me by yelling out fat jokes and they continue driving far from me and out of harms way, is it bad for the tyres when there’s a fat fuck like me with the seat literally riding up my big fat-tish bum hole bad for the bike, anyone?

Eric Benjamin says:

Ty for the video. Question, with a valve extender which I have on my rear tire, I can assume the mechanic left the presta valve lock loose so I can inflate. It’s my first Tri Bike so excuse me for the dumb question LOL.

Justin Winchester says:

Thanks for the assistance.

Nippysnip says:

Thank you for this. Relatively new to cycling and to maintaining a bike, this video was really helpful :)

ansis maleckis says:

Akshit Jain says:

TwentyFoursWorld says:

Never buy a portable pump. They suck and i nearly took 40minutes pumping air outside the tire. I got so mad i broke it in half and ended up cutting my thumb open

colincgc says:

Cheers! Just bought a new mountain bike, only ever had the other valve before these presta ones and never had a clue, 1min of your video and I was able to pump the tyres up! Next mission is to get riding the thing and lose the 6stones put on in last 3 years….

Neslihan Dinler says:

This video was so helpful!! Thank you!

Get some Help says:

Ergin Artesia says:

JUST what I needed! Thank you for this video. I am a true beginner and I plan to follow best practices from the beginning, starting with keeping a vigil eye on my tires.

I just buy my first road bike. It has a presta valve, and you know what ? I can’t pump it, just because I don’t know if I have to “unscrew” the tube. I didnt do it on my previous (mountain) bike. Thanks man, you help me out !

Neptunecrypto says:

Abhiram Nallamothu says:

Thanks it helped me a lot because I have a presta valve and got confused

FatGuyonTheCouch says:

Whoa… I didn’t know British spell tire different than US. Due to warhammer and reading so much of it, I spell gray as grey and armor as armour.

IIIAHMIII A Hyrule Master says:

My pump keeps falling off the car tire. Any Tips ?

Cycling and DoctorWholover says:

You don’t always need a adapter for your pump to change valves. Like my track pump has one hole for Schrader one for Presta valves. I only just realised this week as even though i don’t ride road bikes I got a new hybrid bike and all my previous hybrids were more mountain based which had Schrader valves but my new hybrid which is more road based he’s Presta valves and my pump works for both valve. That’s the first time I saw Presta valve exception of this video

Melonos says:

Great video
