https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxWukd57CWEq-IIh2qPrKEg We do well in Government tests!

EnergyReturnWheel says:

We continue to address each issue as they come up. ERW performance…High frequency in wheel suspension rolls uphills and down like no pneu. can. Our performance will win you over on the first ride. Please review our slow motion videos.

EnergyReturnWheel says:

ERW is easier to spin up and have better rolling resistance making them very much faster. Also a massive handling advantage spinning a hoop as opposed to riding on a balloon.

Pan Kminek says:

I understand that the treads are a part of a tire, so after a while, when they wear out, whole tire needs to be replaced. With all these top of the line materials (e.g. nano tubes) I imagine the costs of a new pair will be pretty high. This will surely make them out of reach for an average consumer?

EnergyReturnWheel says:

All other airless tires are double digit less efficient than pneu. We are double digit more efficient than pneu. ERW is significantly faster than pneumatic tires. Rolling the composite hoops keeps you hooked up for the highest speed maneuvers, acceleration and brake force.

EnergyReturnWheel says:

ERW high Frequency contact with the surface. The “sprung” composite hoop levering traction lugs into the surface. The hoop going oval accumulating and returning directional stretch. The wheel or hub displacement and energy return within the scope of the hoop in response to weight bearing and wind resistance. 12 x the prescribed wheel load negative tension as a force reservoir …High Frequency in wheel suspension. Zoom.

price?

EnergyReturnWheel says:

Early prototypes climbed exceptionally well, accumulated speed…42 watts to turn a 1.5 meter drum @ 20 kph while weighted with 50 kilos. Oxylane Lab Finland.

EnergyReturnWheel says:

15% grades no problem with Screw Force accumulation and return. Hub displacement provides lift when Screw Force is applied.

skaj666 says:

What is a drag of such a wheel in Watts when traveling, lets say, at 20 km/h? Can it beat in this respect performance of a traditional, tubbed or tubeless MTB tire?
Is there any way to adjust “softness” of the tyre in order to adjust for weight/conditions?

Rosario DiBernardo says:

Can I buy a set now?

EnergyReturnWheel says:

Thank you. The very first nano carbon “sprung” wheel sets demonstrate near hard wheel rolling efficiency. ERW is advancing globally. Industry is involved. Several price points OE 2015.

EnergyReturnWheel says:

We are different than the typical corporation. We want to bring ERW to market at the lowest possible price…Willing to trade profit to advance ERW technologies.
We will need to know how many we can sell…An economy of scale for the lowest production cost to pass on to you. Visit our website to vote for your size.

EnergyReturnWheel says:

Thanks Our goal is to improve your riding experience with more speed and control. Performance is everything.

EnergyReturnWheel says:

The 32 elastic attachments has about 50 lbs. of dynamic tension each. This approximate 1,500 lbs.tension generates a powerful centering force. When loaded the hub sinks within the scope of the radial array accumulating additional kinetic energy. When you stand to sprint the additional linear force plays out in the path of least resistance…Rolling…Not by flattening a tread block.

EnergyReturnWheel says:

Human nature is what it is…We want to have the friendly pricing to reduce negative behavior. Opportunity and jobs is what a new Wheel brings. Did we mention more efficient travel than balloon tires?

EnergyReturnWheel says:

We are running a survey to see. Volume will seriously reduce our production costs. Please check out our website… Vote for your size.

EnergyReturnWheel says:

The first Proto test…42 watts while spinning 1.5 meter drum at 20 kmph weighted with 50 kilos. 2012 Oxylane Labs Finland. Yes.

EnergyReturnWheel says:

Thin air vs 1,200 lbs of tension-ed rubber? A tire body VS Kevlar reinforced carbon fiber? A tire is whimpy…And SLOW in contrast.

harris34567 says:

“Every bump every hill, sprint, or spin rate is processed through a massive kinetic reservoir. Gravity charged means driving off your body weight and momentum. It is true.” Maybe I misunderstand but this sounds like BS to me. Gravity charged driving off your body-weight ? What does that even mean ?
Sorry but NOT convinced.

Ricky Bingham says:

Not sure I would trust this.the air in the tyre supports the rim.how will this support the rim?

EnergyReturnWheel says:

You assume much. Pricing will be as consumer friendly as possible. Performance is beyond your imagination…Check out our newer videos.

EnergyReturnWheel says:

These early prototypes were over built for sure, some with a half kilo of carbon. Material science of carbon keeps on keeping on. Carbon Carbon is 250 x stronger than steel and 10 x lighter than carbon fiber. Carbon is one of many materials to fit applications. Please review our new videos to see lighter prototypes.

Firebird says:

Yeah, i’m a physicist and i haven’t a clue what he’s talking about half the time.
See ultimately it seems that he’s trying to make really hard airless tyres (“Rolling…Not by flattening a tread block”) that give enough to be efficient over rough surfaces but don’t lose energy due to high hysteresis of rubber.
That would produce awful grip problems. Just look at solid metal train wheels spin when it’s wet or icy (they don’t have to give because the rails provide a smooth surface, unlike roads).

EnergyReturnWheel says:

15% grades is a weak hill for you?

EnergyReturnWheel says:

Please review our USDOT highway test and Coastdown videos or “Best of ERW” videos to see a 67% coastdown improvement over a 35.5 psi. pneumatic. Also how long can you coast from 55 mph. while your car is in neutral? The AWD dyno load was so great that the 35.5 psi. pneu. only coasted for 12.2 seconds!! Bicycle was tested at Oxylane Lab in Finland.

EnergyReturnWheel says:

We are close to launching a kickstarter campaign. ERW is so sharp and immediate while maneuvering you will never go back to pneumatics. Please review our new slow motion videos to see high frequency anti bounce in wheel suspension. Stick your landings.
