Give your Tires a Deep, Black Shine that Lasts a Year Long

Wet tires shine. With Turtle Wax Jet Black Endura-shine Tire Coat you can make your tires look wet like you just washed your car for a whole year!
The coating is a black tinted acrylic that covers brown or faded tires and makes it look like you just washed it.
I would recommend this product to a friend and I will personally be using this over any of the other silicone based products on the market.

New Tire Shine (since one in video is discontinued):

How to make your headlights clear again:

*Month – How the tire shine is holding up*

August- the tire still looks wet
September- the tire still looks wet
October- the tire still looks wet, but it is about 90% as shiny as it was when it was first applied
November- still at 90% and looking good surprisingly
December- at about 85% and I just went offroading again with the tires spinning in mud!
January- it dulled a lot and is at about 50% but the tire still looks “clean” just not as shiny
February- you can still see it but it is not really shiny anymore
March- it is still on there, but I really need to add another coat because it is pretty dull (but looks good when cleaned)
April- pretty much no evidence of the tire shine anymore
May- pretty much no evidence of the tire shine anymore

You should edit your description to add the black trim that you said is “coming soon” but you never added the link!

Using the Meguiars Endurance gel (got to this video a little late for the Turtle Wax). Works pretty well, daily driving my SS with some Goodrich tires…stays shiny for a month, but start noticing fade after a couple weeks. The deep wet look lasts for a good week. Overall, better option (slightly more work) than using spray on.

George Krabs says:

This really lasts.I somehow managed to get this all over my face and hands and no-one believes me, they think I’m a black dude. That was a year ago now and I’m getting quite used to it.

Can you do a CVT transmission flush

Go Trixie Go says:

I’m sure I’m not the first – perhaps it is because it is late in the typical DIY washing season? Can’t find it anywhere. One seller on Walmart for $11 something + shipping. Auto Zone, out, O’Reilly’s, out, Advanced Auto, out, Amazon, out 🙁

Brandon Coffey says:

Hey Chris! You mentioned not getting this product on your rims, however I have black rims on my car. Can I use this to keep the rims shiny as well or should I still keep it off the rims? Thanks!

Carl Magrath says:

Not only do the Yanks drive on the wrong side of roads, they spell tyre wrong too

Chris. This product is discontinued. Do you know of another product that works well for tires?

MR. 359 says:

Wow I got some 22’s rims on my Dodge Charger, I’m going to buy some of this for the tires, hell of a job buddy great video my man Love it on you truck!

waffle911 says:

I personally prefer the look of clean, dry tires. The wet look doesn’t appeal to me, because that’s not how clean tires naturally look. I like a clean sheen, but no shine.

Rich Rabatin says:

I have used this product for a year now and it does hold its shine. I found out they discontinued this product which is to bad. Anyhow if I got any of this on my rims I used Turtle Wax bug and tar remover and it does the job. One other pro is that a little goes a long way. Thanks for your videos, they are very informative

Ken Moses says:

I ride a “show room” bike and have always been hesitant about applying anything shiny to the tires, but it is to hard to keep up on just soap and water. A 4 wheel vehicle can compensate for lose of grip Way easier than something on 2 edges flying through the corners… After the application, did you notice any oil ( slippery ) residue where the surface area meets the pavement? If so, was it hard to get off once it dried. Last thing in the world I want is to increase the possibility of loosing either end just to look shiny. Thx.

this stuff will stain your rims, so if you have silver rims be extra careful

Indrid Cold says:

Us peasants use a bit of glue on the letters and shoe polish. We put glue on the letters and let it dry. Then we shoe polish the tyre. If there is a little dry rot, it covers that as well. Then you can ether pick off the glue or let it fall off by itself. This will leave a very white letter behind. If you want, you can just run the vehicle through a car wash so the glue will fall off. Your tyres will gleam beautifully, even if they are old tyres, for about a year. Of course shoe polish and glue cost very close to tyre polish. However, you will still have shoe polish to take care of your good wingtip shoes and glue for general purpose glue usage.

I live in Australia. In the 70’s i worked in a car yard as a detailer. We used to spray the tyres with something similar that lasted well over a month. It was that long ago I forget the product name. but it was bought out be Selleys Automotive.

Hey ChrisFix, do you know if you can put this product on faded black plastic areas on your vehicle to gives those that deep black look or is there a product that you recommend.

I’m speaking of areas like the bed trim, ram box top, mirrors, fenders flares, cow vent, wiper blades/rod, and bumpers

Thanks ChrisFix

Samuel Adams7 says:

“PAM” vegetable spray works pretty good on tires as well and makes the tire smell like butter. I use that on my leather seats too but it makes you slide all around when cornering…Drives my wife crazy because I only use it on her seat and her pants smells like butter and the PAM stuff puts a dark stain on her pants too and she slides all over the car seat when we go for a drive tee, he, he, he!

Lai Chan Lee says:

Can I get this in Malaysia

ramesh kissoon says:

alee sya says:

Super clean wheel?

Riley says:

Hey Chris, this video seemed more about the product you were using than about cleaning the tires. I dont think you even went over cleaning the rims either.
Would be awesome if you could do another one like this an include everything!

dkarate7 says:

ChrisFix , any new recommendation now that this is discontinued?

Lai Chan Lee says:

ramesh kissoon says:

Jorje Arturo says:

People, stop spraying shit on your tires.  It eventually washes off and ends up in the waterways.  Are you that vain that your fucking tires have to be jet black?
