maxxis shorty 2,5″ 3c up front and maxxis high roller II 2,4 ” exo on back
I am running Maxxis Ardent 2.25 EXO front and back on my hardtail ….I do some light trail riding and putter around town on it and they seem to work well.
140mm 29er hardtail (Canfield Yelli Screamy) with a 2.5 DHF/2.4 DHR. Once summer arrives I’ll lose some weight and throw on a 2.4 Ardent in the rear. I ain’t racing, so grip and weight > speed. No rocks here in IL, so no need for DD or anything nuts.
What about the High Roller?
DHR II 2.3 EXO 3C front, Forekaster 2.3 EXO DC rear <- Great combo for grip, braking, weight, & rolling resistance
I use maxxis forkaster.
I use Maxxis Ignitor tyres both front and rear. Great rolling tyre and perfect for cross country riding!!
Schwalbe rapid rod on both
Suggestions for us that ride on the road to get to the trails. Out of 30 miles, made 12 14 on road.
Schwalbe Magic mary 27.5 x 2.35 🙂
I just ordered some Ignitors (26×2.35) to replace Panaracer Fire XCs (26×2.1). I really like the Fires but wanted a little more air volume for my hardtail. My local trail has a lot of rock and roots. I’m also going tubeless.
What’s the first limiting factor for how wide a tire a bike will take? Rim or fork width?
Any recommendations on a tire I can use on city streets
Cool video! I run Maxxis Aspen 2.1 both front and rear!
🙂
Which 2.5-2.6 tyre would be good for a 150mm travel hardtail? Trails are dry rocky and loose. Running maxxis ardent 2.4 rear and 2.4 high roller 2 front. Love the combo just need something with more volume on the rear. Bike is ragley mmmbop 2017 non plus but should fit up to 2.6 inch rubber. Any ideas
Ardent 26×2.4 f CrossMark 26×2.1 r on a circus comp 100mm zircus frame 1×10 (zee and diety) set up for riding flowing trails and intermediate dj slope stuff ……. I think this set up works for my diverse daily ride.
Great video! I personally run dhf 2.3 for my mid-travel hardtail trail bike on normally wet terrain here at Southern Chile. Greetings lml!
DHF/Aggressor. Set.
shcalbe plz
Dhf = down hill front. ??????
DHR2 3C 2.4 WT and Forekaster 2.35 dual casing on 29er trail bike
Good job with the explanations, guys.
I’m running Minion DHF front and rear, 2.5 and 2.3 respectively on a Specialized Enduro.
I ride xc, and run a crossmark on the rear and an ardent up front. Is running the ardent up front weird for XC?
Ardent 2.2 rear minion dhr 2.4 front. Sandy corners are not a problem anymore. 7 km of asphalt is not good for the minion
i use Maxxis pace in the rear which replaced my old crossmark
I run DHF 3C 120tpi /DHR II 3C 120tpi 27.5 x 2.8 in AZ. They are a little heavy but I want the durability. I ride a mix of XC and some technical in the AZ desert.
I run Highrollers on mine and my sons enduro bikes wich you didn’t talk about in the video
