Fattie says:

Im thinking of getting these tires mounted on my 2016 Salsa beargrease with 40MM wide wheels. Is there better options or what other tires could you recommend? Im looking at getting tires between 2.6 and 2.8. I am currently running 70mm wide rims with 4.4 inch jumbo jims- snakeskin

Matthew Reid says:

What fork are you using this tire with? Boost or standard? Any clearance issues?

Matthew Reid says:

Did the overall height change with the 2.6 compared to a 2.3? I’m trying to determine if it will have clearance issues on the back of my Tallboy 2.

Michael says:

Killin it dude, keep it up.

Bruce Banner says:

Want! Hope it fits.

ehansen0071 says:

Mounted this tire on the front of my Foes Mixer on a American Classic 38/34 wheels and they are a perfect 2.6in on the nose. Performance has been great thus far at 15PSI at the bike parks, local enduro outings and haven’t burped it once. Running a Maxxis Rekon on the back at the same size and while the width has been good, as the trails get sand over some hard pack, they will slip a bit on the climbs and descents. Definitely miss my HRII on the back. But the Nobby Nic is the perfect blend of weight and performance for me.

David S says:

Can some please provide an actual width and height of this tire when inflated on a 29 rim? I know every rim is different but need an approximation to see if/how it will fit on my bike. I run a 2016 Specialized Stumpjumper FS with a Pike on the front.

Crazycraigy says:

x king is good rolling resistance

Peter Duncan says:

Just mounted these up to 28mm i.w. rims on my Santa Cruz Hightower – really great tires. Like having the rolling advantage of an Ardent Race, the traction and square edge rollover of the Rekon + 2.8, and the handling of a Minion DHF. Really nice tires.

Mr. mips says:

So Des, I have to believe you’re talking 27mm inner diameter? Good looking tire. I’m considering this tire for my XR 1501’s at 23mm inner on the front.

Michael Utley says:

Only tire I’ll run. Been Running the Nic Snakeskin Pacestar EVO TLE for the last 4-5 years and just love it. Zero issues, Grip crazy good and super fast.

Denric Jasper says:

Is it good for mud?

Daniela Mattmann says:

How is the tire clearance on the rip 9 with the 2.6 tires? I own the same bike and was thinking about trying the 2.6 Nobby Nics!

eric nichols says:

about how tall is the wheel with the 2.60 i have a trek stach 5 with a pike on it now but have to run a 27.5 plus wheel on it the 29plus is to big so the 27.5 x2.80 is just under 29 tall and the 29×3.00 is 30.5 tall

Timo Bastian says:

Is the rolling resistance of Nobby Nic much higher than the Racing Ralf or Rocket Ron? I drive trails on the weekend but I drive 30km by bike to work 70% forest and dirt roads and 30% road. I need a tire which rolls well but also works well on SingelTrails, so far I have driven the X-King, but would like to be wider, like for 2.6 Nobby Nic, wich tire would you preferred?
